Each EA is specified with the content ISO/IEC 15408-4 clause 6 requires (objective, developer inputs, tool types and setup, evaluator competence, rationale traced to ISO/IEC 18045 work units, dependencies where they exist, test procedure, pass/fail criteria). The developer hands the evaluator at least the ST, functional specification, guidance and a testable TOE for ATE_IND.1, plus the TOE design, configuration management and test documentation for ATE_IND.2. Every test tool is calibrated against a specific standard unless the EA justifies otherwise, and the evaluator reports the result of each EA. The same EAs can guide developer testing under ATE_FUN before submission.
