ISO 8000 - Data Quality 150:5: 5 Implementation requirements

To make its data quality roles and responsibilities effective, an organization must: carry out the processes that fall within data quality management as ISO 8000-61 defines them (Annex E maps those processes to this part's responsibility groups); name one or more roles to hold the data quality responsibilities, sized to the organization, since one person may hold several roles and one role may be shared, and a person may also hold unrelated roles (a small organization may give all nine responsibility groups of Annex B to one individual; a large one may appoint several data diagnosis planners, each covering different systems such as customer relationship data or the product catalogue); build the data quality management processes into the business processes that serve the organization's core purpose, where one such process may sit inside many core processes that create or use data (a manufacturer building them into production); and apply whichever other parts of ISO 8000 its own needs call for (for master data exchange, 8000-110 on syntax, semantics and conformance to specification, 8000-115 on identifiers and 8000-120 on provenance).
