The organization shall set FM objectives for the relevant functions, sub-functions and levels, taking into account what relevant interested parties require and the financial, technical and organizational requirements of FM planning. The objectives shall align with and support the organization's objectives; agree with the FM policy; be measurable where this is practical without undue cost or paperwork; be set and revised using the criteria in 4.2; reflect applicable requirements; be monitored; be communicated to relevant interested parties; and be reviewed and revised as needed. Documented information on the objectives shall be kept. In planning how to meet them, the organization shall decide the work to be done, the resources and budgets needed, who is accountable, the completion dates and frequencies, how results are to be evaluated, and, together with the demand organization, suitable planning horizons so the plans are complete and effective.
