At intervals the organization must judge whether, and in what way, what it does (its strategies, plans, programmes, projects and services) helps achieve the six purposes of sustainability (4.5), having regard to the twelve priority issues for sustainable development (4.6). It must use indicators (9.1) to gather the data needed and to keep that work on course through every operational stage of its life cycle.
