Annex A Supply chain security process (informative guidance) – ISO 28001:2007 Supply Chain Security Management

ISO 28001:2007 Supply Chain Security Management A.4.3: A.4.3 Communication

Where practicable, the organization should get in touch with the relevant law enforcement and other government officials in order to: agree what to do if cargo tampering is suspected, or if related emergencies or threats to the international supply chain arise, writing the particular agencies' phone numbers into the security plan; take part in national and local consultations on customs rules and on the security of premises and consignments; and answer government outreach so the plan stays relevant and effective. Where officials decline to take part, the organization should record its attempts to involve them.
