ISO 26262:2018 - Functional Safety for Road Vehicles 4:7.4.3: 7.4.3 System integration and testing

What does 4:7.4.3 require?

The elements are integrated into the system and the system tested against the technical safety requirements and the architectural design of the system, including the interfaces between elements, the fault handling and the timing. This sits in clause 7, whose stated aims are to lay down the integration sequence and assemble the elements step by step into the complete system, to check that the safety measures from the architectural safety analyses are in place, and to show that the assembled elements satisfy their safety requirements, over the three sub-phases of hardware with software, system and vehicle. See the official text for the full requirement.
