Where development is shared across parties, a development interface agreement is defined early to confirm each party's responsibilities for SOTIF activities and what technical information is exchanged. It extends the ISO 26262 interface agreement framework (and IATF 16949 where applicable) with each party's SOTIF responsibilities for development and operation across clauses 5 to 13, the work products to be shared and the documentation format, agreed at project start.
