ISO 19650 - Organisation and Digitisation of Information about Buildings and Civil Engineering Works (BIM) 1:10.1: 10.1 Principles of information delivery planning

Planning delivery falls to every lead appointed party and every appointed party, in answer to the appointing party's requirements and the scope of its appointment. Every plan should say how information will satisfy the AIR or EIR; when it will be delivered (first by stage or milestone, later by actual date); how it will be delivered and coordinated with other parties' information; what is delivered; who is responsible; and who receives it. Some planning should happen before appointment so the appointing party can review it, with more during mobilisation and whenever things change. Before technical work begins, the delivery team should confirm that appointment conditions are agreed, processes are in place, the plan fits capacity, the skills exist and the technology supports the standard, with training scheduled. Delivery happens through predefined exchanges, meeting the requirements is a completion criterion, and each container is linked to requirements.
