Appraisal studies business activity to settle which records must be made and captured and for how long they are kept. It combines understanding of the business with identification of evidence requirements, using risk assessment of general business risks and risks manageable through records. It is done with internal and, where needed, external stakeholders, is documented (sources consulted, risk assessment results, decisions), has decisions authorised by a senior manager where required, feeds system design, policy, metadata requirements and controls, and is repeated as circumstances and risks change.
The graph holds this control, the 0 it maps to, and the evidence behind each claim, over MCP and REST.
