ISO 14090:2019 9b: Determine and describe indicators covering delivery and long-term outcomes

What does 9b require?

The organisation determines and describes the indicators it will monitor, covering what is needed for effective delivery of the adaptation plan and its long-term outcomes, with ongoing assessment of the inputs and outputs of its processes, of resources, and of organisational capability and adaptive capacity overall. Indicators are recommended to be quantitative where possible (qualitative otherwise), to be measurable soon while still speaking to long-term outcomes, and capable of comparison so that further or corrective action can be evidenced; tracking performance across time, comparing with peer organisations and comparing against a baseline may all be used, and a set of indicators gives a fuller picture than one.
