The organization shall plan actions on its significant environmental aspects, on its compliance obligations and on its risks and opportunities. It shall plan how to build those actions into the processes of the environmental management system (6.2, clauses 7 and 8, and 9.1) or into other business processes, and how to assess whether they work (9.1). In planning these actions it shall take account of the technological options open to it and of its financial, operational and business requirements.
