ILO-OSH 2001 Guidelines on Occupational Safety and Health Management Systems
Chapter 3 Organizing: responsibility and accountability, competence and training, documentation, communication (3.3 to 3.6) – ILO-OSH 2001 Guidelines on Occupational Safety and Health Management Systems

ILO-OSH 2001 Guidelines on Occupational Safety and Health Management Systems 3.5.1-3.5.2: Establish and maintain OSH-MS documentation proportionate to the organisation, covering policy and objectives, allocated roles, significant hazards and risks with their controls, and the procedures and instructions used; keep it clearly written for its users, periodically reviewed, communicated and accessible

What does 3.5.1-3.5.2 require?

Documentation for the system is set up and kept current in proportion to the organisation's size and activity. It may cover the policy and objectives, the key OSH roles and responsibilities assigned for implementing the system, the significant hazards and risks created by the organisation's activities with the arrangements for preventing and controlling them, and the procedures, instructions and other internal documents used within the system. Documents are written and presented so that their users understand them, and are reviewed periodically, revised when needed, communicated and kept readily accessible to everyone concerned or affected.
