Any agent, officer or employee of a common carrier by wire who discovers physical evidence of an eavesdropping device not known to be lawful must disclose it within a reasonable time to the State's Attorney of the county where it was found, who notifies the apparent targets if it is illegal. Breach is a business offence with a fine of up to 500 dollars.
