IFRS 17 - Insurance Contracts 69-70A: Premium allocation approach for reinsurance contracts held

What does 69-70A require?

The PAA of paragraphs 55 to 56 and 59, adjusted for reinsurance (showing expenses, or reductions in expenses, instead of revenue), may be applied to a group of reinsurance held where, at the start of the group, the entity reasonably expects no material difference from measuring under paragraphs 63 to 68, or where every contract in the group covers a year or less. The first test is not met where the entity expects the fulfilment cash flows to vary significantly before any claim arises. Under the PAA, the loss-recovery income of 66A adjusts what is carried as the asset for remaining coverage, there being no CSM.
