Components must be able to keep their essential functions running in a degraded mode when a denial of service event occurs (SL 1). RE 1, managing the communication load the component generates (SL 2): limit the impact of DoS by information or message flooding. The component has no counterpart to SR 7.1 RE 2, which the IIC list notes is a system requirement.
