Markings that warn, prohibit or require an action in order to reduce a risk the operator would not readily see are safety signs selected from ISO 7010; where no sign carries the meaning, one is constructed under ISO 3864-1 or the general warning, prohibition or mandatory sign is used with a supplementary symbol or text that states the principal risk, what is prohibited or the required action, placed in the instructions if there is no room; every safety sign and its supplementary text is explained in the instructions for use and any wording uses a language the intended operator will accept; compliance is checked by inspection.
