IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) Standards Manual MNT 4.1: Approval

What does MNT 4.1 require?

An aircraft is not operated unless maintained and released by an Approved Maintenance Organization that the Authority accepts with established procedures, a quality system and the required approvals; each AMO's approval document states its name and location, date of issue and validity, scope and ratings and limitations; and maintenance performed abroad by an organization without the Authority's approval is done under a process the Authority accepts (MNT 4.1.1 to 4.1.5).
