IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) Standards Manual FLT 2.1: FLT 2.1 Training and Evaluation Program

The program for training and evaluating flight crew stays objective by protecting instructors and evaluators from interference, trains crews for new policies, aircraft types and modifications, monitors distance learning, is documented in a Training Manual with standards the State has approved or accepted, uses only authorised documents, standardises facilities, devices, course materials, instructors, evaluators and line check airmen with the required State approvals, provides enough instructors and support staff, requires regular communication between management, instructors and crews, continually improves the program from evaluation results, trains and requalifies instructors and evaluators, keeps training aids representative of the aircraft, sets minimum serviceability of training devices, and runs any zero flight time training under State approval on representative simulators (FLT 2.1.2 to 2.1.47).
