A line qualification program qualifies FOOs, FOAs and designated managers before operational control duties; an FOO who has not performed duties for twelve consecutive months is requalified; and FOOs are not assigned unless within the preceding twelve months they completed the required flight deck familiarisation or equivalent (DSP 2.3.1 to 2.3.4).
