IACS Unified Requirements E26/E27 - Cyber Resilience of Ships and On-Board Systems E26-4.3.1: E26 4.3.1 Network operation monitoring

Monitor in-scope networks continuously and alarm on malfunction or reduced capacity, with capabilities to monitor and protect against excessive traffic, watch connections, record device management activity, block unauthorised devices and alarm when bandwidth use passes the supplier's abnormal threshold (UR E22 7.2.1). An IDS may be used if the CBS supplier qualifies it, it is passive and triggers no protective action affecting the CBS, and staff are trained to use it.
