A written food safety risk assessment of water used in indoor and outdoor production and postharvest covers at minimum: the water sources, identified on maps, photographs or drawings that show sources, fixtures and how water flows through the system including reuse, linked to site maps; past analysis results; when water is used by growth stage or postharvest step; physical, chemical and microbial contamination risk; delivery methods and cross contamination; contact with the crop; crop characteristics and stage; the quality of water used for fertilizer, PPP and postharvest applications; mitigation such as fencing against intrusion; water quality thresholds; effect on food safety and fitness for purpose; controls on water that is not meant for food production; and, for postharvest water that touches product, a minimum of one test in each season or certification cycle, sampled close to where it is applied, even for municipal supplies. The assessment is reviewed every year and whenever operational changes alter the risk.
This control maps to 1 controls across 1 other frameworks. If you already hold one of them, the evidence you collected for it is the starting point here rather than new work.
Every mapping shown was judged rather than inferred from wording similarity, and the ones that failed review are published too. See the coverage reports and what was rejected.
The graph holds this control, the 1 it maps to, and the evidence behind each claim, over MCP and REST.
