The February 2013 amendment, which supersedes the gas provisions of the Scope 3 Standard, requires the gases the UNFCCC and Kyoto Protocol require at the time of the inventory to be accounted for and reported (NF3 now included, and the list follows any future UNFCCC change); optional gases with IPCC 100-year GWPs, including Montreal Protocol gases, should be reported with a list of them and, when reported, must sit outside the scopes. For consistency the same GWP values should be used for the scope 3 inventory as for the Corporate Standard inventory and base year.
