Investigatory powers, interception and data retention (sections 69 to 80) – Ghana Cybersecurity Act

Ghana Cybersecurity Act 70: Sections 70(2), 72(2) and 74(2) to (4): execute production orders and interception warrants and keep them confidential

What does 70 require?

A service provider served with a production order must produce the subscriber information, and one served with a content-data interception warrant must intercept the content data, stored or in real time, and provide it to the officer immediately. It must keep the order or warrant and its execution confidential; breach of confidentiality is an offence (10,000 to 20,000 penalty units). Section 77(4) limits any use of the data to the warrant's purpose.
