Critical information infrastructure (sections 35 to 40) – Ghana Cybersecurity Act

Ghana Cybersecurity Act 36.1: Section 36(1) and (2): register the designated critical information infrastructure with the Authority

What does 36.1 require?

The Authority registers every critical information infrastructure on the requirements and procedure it determines by Gazette notice (Gazette Notice No. 140). An owner notified of designation completes that process: nominating a point of contact for the infrastructure, attending the capacity-building sessions, completing and submitting the registration form with the details of the infrastructure, answering the Authority's validation queries and obtaining the certificate of registration. The Authority reported registration compliance of 65 per cent in 2023 and 79 per cent in 2024.
