Internal auditors have two years' full-time experience in the relevant industry and understand the organisation's SMS; the lead internal auditor has passed a 40-hour lead auditor course (SMS, FSSC 22000 or 24000, or an ISO management system), other team members a 16-hour internal auditor course on audit principles and techniques, and all of them at least eight hours of FSSC 24000 training on PAS 24000 including Annex A and the additional requirements; the certification body checks this every year. Technical reviewers are impartial, can interpret PAS 24000 and the additional requirements, and know social practice and the organisation's processes.
