Procedures must guarantee strict confidentiality of the reporter's identity, the persons targeted, any third party named and the information collected, among all recipients. Identifying details of the reporter may be disclosed only with consent (except to the judicial authority, with the reporter informed unless that would compromise proceedings, with written explanations); details identifying the person implicated may be disclosed, except to the judicial authority, only once the alert is established as founded. Disclosing these confidential elements is punishable by two years' imprisonment and a 30,000 euro fine.
