FedRAMP Rev 5 A.4: A.4 FedRAMP Ready and the readiness assessment

A FedRAMP Ready designation is optional but highly recommended: the provider engages a FedRAMP recognized 3PAO to perform a readiness assessment, and the Readiness Assessment Report documents the provider's capability to meet federal security requirements, is reviewed by FedRAMP, places the offering on the Marketplace as Ready, and serves as a self-assessment of gaps and the level of effort before pursuing authorization with an agency.
