FAA AC 20-152A - Development Assurance for Airborne Electronic Hardware COTS-2: COTS-2 Electronic component management process

An electronic component management process covers how COTS devices are selected, qualified and kept under configuration management and access to component data (user manual, datasheet, errata, installation manual) and to the manufacturer's change information; for complex devices in DAL A or B functions, selection considers device maturity and mitigates identified risks. Recognised industry component management standards may be used.
