Chapter 3: Balance sheet and profit and loss account – EU Accounting Directive (Directive 2013/34/EU)

EU Accounting Directive (Directive 2013/34/EU) A13: Prescribed profit and loss account layouts or an equivalent statement of performance

What does A13 require?

The profit and loss account must follow one of the two prescribed layouts, by nature of expense (Annex V) or by function of expense (Annex VI), as prescribed or chosen; a Member State may instead allow or require a statement of performance, provided the information is at least equivalent to the annex layouts.

  • 78-85 Present operating expenses by nature or by function (or a mix) in the way that gives the most useful summary, show cost of sales where functions are used, and disclose in a single note the five nature totals and their allocation across function line items

Every mapping shown was judged rather than inferred from wording similarity, and the ones that failed review are published too. See the coverage reports and what was rejected.
