EU Accounting Directive (Directive 2013/34/EU)
Chapter 3: Balance sheet and profit and loss account – EU Accounting Directive (Directive 2013/34/EU)

EU Accounting Directive (Directive 2013/34/EU) A10-11: Prescribed balance sheet layouts and the current/non-current alternative

What does A10-11 require?

The balance sheet must follow one of the two prescribed layouts, the horizontal form in Annex III or the vertical form in Annex IV, as the Member State prescribes; where both are available the undertaking chooses. A Member State may instead permit or require presentation by the current and non-current distinction in a different layout, provided the information given is at least equivalent to the prescribed layouts, so every heading and sub-heading of the annex must still be traceable.
