Equator Principles (EP4, 2020) EP4-P9: Independent Monitoring and Reporting

For PF and PRCL in Category A and, where appropriate, Category B, the EPFI requires independent monitoring and reporting after Financial Close and for the life of the loan, to assess compliance with the Principles. This comes from an independent E&S consultant, or the client hires qualified and experienced outside experts who check its monitoring data, shared with the EPFI at the frequency set under Principle 8(b). For Project-Related Corporate Loans to governments and their ministries and agencies, the EPFI may choose between a consultant and its own internal monitoring, and monitoring done by an OECD export credit agency or a bilateral or multilateral lender can count.
