The EPFI requires the client to run an Assessment process that deals, to the EPFI's satisfaction, with the Project's relevant environmental and social risks and the scale of its impacts, with measures to minimise, mitigate and, for residual impacts, compensate, offset or remedy harm to Workers, Affected Communities and the environment. The Assessment Documentation must evaluate the risks adequately, accurately and objectively; for Category A and, where appropriate, Category B it includes an ESIA, possibly with specialist studies, while other Projects may need only a limited or focused assessment. Human rights impacts (with reference to the UNGPs) and climate change risks are expected in the Assessment. A Climate Change Risk Assessment aligned with the TCFD physical and transition risk categories is required for every Category A and, where appropriate, Category B Project (physical risks) and for any Project, anywhere, expected to emit more than 100,000 tonnes CO2e a year across Scope 1 and 2 combined (transition risks plus an alternatives analysis of lower-GHG options, per Annex A).
This control maps to 3 controls across 2 other frameworks. If you already hold one of them, the evidence you collected for it is the starting point here rather than new work.
Every mapping shown was judged rather than inferred from wording similarity, and the ones that failed review are published too. See the coverage reports and what was rejected.
The graph holds this control, the 3 it maps to, and the evidence behind each claim, over MCP and REST.
