Where nothing prevents a free space below the ICT, it must provide knee and toe clearance to Table 8.2 column 1 (8.3.11.1: width 900 mm, knee height 700 mm, knee depth 280 to 350 mm, toe depth 450 mm, toe height 350 mm, obstruction at most 800 mm). Where the size must be restricted, the column 2 values apply (8.3.11.2: 760 mm, 685 mm, 205 to 280 mm, 430 mm, 230 mm, at most 865 mm, ADA-derived). Security, vandalism protection, low controls, freestanding stability or national rules can justify restriction.
