EIOPA Guidelines on Outsourcing to Cloud Service Providers (EIOPA-BoS-20-002) 15: Guideline 15: Termination rights and exit strategies

For critical or important functions the agreement has a clear exit clause allowing termination without harming continuity or quality for policyholders. The undertaking develops comprehensive, service based, documented and tested exit plans with cost, impact, resource and timing analysis, identifies alternative solutions and transition plans mindful of data location, makes sure the provider supports transfer, and agrees full and secure deletion of data in all regions after return. Exit strategies define objectives, trigger events such as key risk indicators, a business impact analysis, roles and responsibilities and success criteria.
