Conceptual design data describes architecture and functional design: a high-level description (block diagram or HDL) of major functions and information flow; the mechanical structure (package, board arrangement, connectors, wiring); other airworthiness-relevant features and partitioning such as EMI, lightning, shock and vibration protection, unused functions inside major components and human interface factors; the top-level functional description and functional architecture; and preliminary hardware safety assessment data.
