Competition and Consumer (Consumer Data Right) Rules 2020 9.5: Rule 9.5: give consumers copies of their records within 10 business days, free of charge

A consumer may ask a data holder for copies of records about it of authorisations, amendments and withdrawals, consent withdrawal notices, disclosures, CDR complaint data and complaints, and may ask an accredited data recipient for copies of records about it covering consents, amendments, withdrawals, complaint data and complaints, collections, disclosures, trusted adviser and insight and business consumer matters, deletion elections and service terms, including those kept for its representatives. Requests must be in any approved form; the recipient must provide the copies in any approved form as soon as practicable and within 10 business days, and neither data holders nor accredited data recipients may charge for making or responding to the request (each a civil penalty).
