CISA Cloud Security Technical Reference Architecture v2.0 4.4c: Enforce least privilege, attribute-based access and two-person code review in DevSecOps teams

What does 4.4c require?

Each team member holds only the privileges the task needs for only as long as needed, with on-call elevation or break-glass procedures for production access, granular permissions, regular revocation of unneeded access and prompt removal when people leave; attribute-based access control adds checks on the resource, the data and the environment such as device patch state; and because separation of duties conflicts with shared DevSecOps ownership, every code and configuration change, including infrastructure code, is reviewed and approved by another authorised team member before merge, with the repository administrator accounts that could disable that rule kept out of daily use.
