Where supported, lock portable end-user devices automatically after a set number of local failed logins: at most 20 attempts for laptops and at most 10 for tablets and smartphones, using features such as Intune device lock or Apple configuration profile settings. Implementation Groups: IG2 and IG3 (not in the IG1 baseline; applies from IG2 upward). Asset type: Devices. Security function: Protect.
