CDP (formerly Carbon Disclosure Project) 7.45-7.52: Questions 7.45 to 7.52: Emissions intensity and other climate metrics

What does 7.45-7.52 require?

The organisation reports gross global emissions across Scopes 1 and 2 per unit of total revenue and any other intensity metrics suited to its operations, with the direction and reasons for change; high-impact sectors give sector intensities (utilities by generation source and capacity, cement per ton of clinker and cementitious product, oil and gas per hydrocarbon category, steel by production route, transport per passenger or tonne kilometre and for use of sold products); and it may give additional climate-related metrics. CDP's ambition is falling intensity; leadership points recognise decreases driven by renewable energy or reduction activities and sector intensities below set thresholds (for example net Scope 1 below 0.77 tCO2e per ton of clinker).
