Where a natural person makes an input error when dealing with another party's automated system and that system gave no opportunity to correct it, the person (or the party for whom the person acted) may correct or withdraw the erroneous input, provided the person tells the other party of the error as soon as possible after learning of it and has neither benefited from the error nor caused damage to the other party or a third party before notifying. The rule does not apply in the securities sector.
