Chapter Two, Section II: protection (Articles 13 to 31) – Bulgaria Ordinance on Minimum Requirements for Network and Information Security (2019)

Bulgaria Ordinance on Minimum Requirements for Network and Information Security (2019) 22(1)-(4): Run only supplier-supported, security-current software and firmware approved by the head of the entity, keep a distribution library for fast recovery, and prevent the installation and use of unauthorised software and firmware

What does 22(1)-(4) require?

The entity installs and keeps only software and firmware versions that their suppliers or manufacturers still support and that are current from a security standpoint. The head of the entity approves the software used in its systems. A library of software and firmware distributions is maintained so that systems can be rebuilt quickly after failure. The entity takes measures to prevent the installation and use of unauthorised software and firmware and to control what is in use, including its currency.
