Nine measures protect administrator profiles on systems and components. Default or manufacturer credentials are changed before deployment. Administrator profiles are personal, used only for administrative work, and created only for staff who actually perform installation, configuration, management or maintenance. Each administrator's rights are confined to that administrator's functional and technical perimeter. Administrator authentication data is unique per system, as complex as the system allows, and physically and logically protected with access restricted to authorised representatives. A list of administrator profiles is maintained. When an administrator cannot perform the role for objective reasons the account's rights are suspended for that period. An annual review confirms every administrator profile is still valid.
This control maps to 1 controls across 1 other frameworks. If you already hold one of them, the evidence you collected for it is the starting point here rather than new work.
Every mapping shown was judged rather than inferred from wording similarity, and the ones that failed review are published too. See the coverage reports and what was rejected.
The graph holds this control, the 1 it maps to, and the evidence behind each claim, over MCP and REST.
