Describes the requirements for protecting a building optimally from the perspective of information security, with measures that depend on the kind and size of the institution and of the building and can also be applied to large sites with several buildings or to the use of parts of a building. In Edition 2023 the Baustein carries 36 requirement numbers, 31 of them live: 9 Basis requirements (B, MUSS, to be fulfilled first and without exception), 12 Standard requirements (S, SOLLTE) and 10 requirements for elevated protection needs (H), with 5 numbers withdrawn (ENTFALLEN) and kept for stable numbering. It is applied to a building or room in modelling order R2. The requirements property on this node lists every requirement by number, title, level and responsible role, so a requirement is cited as INF.1.A<n>.
