To use previously occupied or contaminated land: up to two credits where 75 percent (one credit) or 95 percent (two credits) of the development footprint is on land that previously carried commercial, industrial or domestic buildings or permanent surface infrastructure; and one credit where the site is significantly contaminated, as confirmed by the manual's checklist or by a contaminated-land specialist, and remediated under nationally recognised guidance or the manual's requirements before construction.
