BRCGS Global Standard for Food Safety Issue 9 4.8.6: 4.8.6 Controlled smoking areas isolated with extraction; no e-cigarettes in production or storage

Where the law permits smoking, designated smoking areas must be controlled, isolated from production so smoke cannot reach product, and fitted with extraction to the outside, with provision for smokers' waste inside and outside. Electronic cigarettes must not be brought into, or used in, production or storage areas.
