BRCGS Global Standard for Food Safety Issue 9 4.4.3: Drainage sited and designed to avoid contamination, with waste water to drain and adequate falls

What does 4.4.3 require?

Drainage must be positioned, designed and kept in repair so that the risk of contamination is as low as possible. Where feasible, machinery and pipework are arranged so that waste water from the process runs straight to drain, and where large amounts of water are used floors slope adequately towards the drains.
