BCBS Principles for Operational Resilience (2021) P4-29-30: Harmonise mapping with recovery and resolution plans and map at a granularity sufficient to find vulnerabilities and support continuity testing

What does P4-29-30 require?

A bank can reuse the critical operation definitions in its recovery and resolution plans, and should check that its resilience mapping lines up with the organisational mapping of critical operations and critical third-party services in those plans. The detail of the map must be enough to expose weak points and to support the Principle 3 exercises that test delivery through disruption, judged against the bank's risk appetite and tolerance for disruption.
