Australian Copyright Act 1968 (Australia), Educational Institution Provisions s116AH: ss 116ABA and 116AH Service provider conditions for educational bodies

The body administering an educational institution is a service provider for the limits on remedies in Part V Division 2AA. Conditions include adopting and reasonably implementing a policy for terminating the accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances, complying with relevant industry code provisions on standard technical measures, not modifying transmitted content, for caching removing cached material when notified that the origin has done so, for hosting expeditiously removing or disabling infringing material when notified by a court-based notice, on becoming aware that it is infringing or likely infringing, and following the prescribed procedure, and not receiving a direct financial benefit from infringing activity it can control.
