Australian Copyright Act 1968 (Australia), Educational Institution Provisions s113Q: s 113Q Remuneration notice: undertaking, scope, commencement and revocation

A remuneration notice is a written notice from the body administering an educational institution to a collecting society undertaking to pay equitable remuneration for licensed copying or communicating and to give the society reasonable assistance to collect and distribute it. It applies to the institution the body administers and to the society's material, comes into force on the day given or a later specified day and stays in force until revoked, and the body may revoke it by written notice taking effect after 3 months or a later date. Copying under a notice does not count as licensed if it is covered by a s 116AAE(6) owner-cannot-be-found notice.
