A term of any agreement or contract that purports to exclude, limit or modify the operation of the Act or any duty owed under it, or to transfer a duty to another person, is void. The PCBU's contracts (with contractors, labour hire providers, landlords, clients) therefore allocate responsibilities and co-operation without purporting to shift or limit statutory duties.
